Coated Plastic & Cherry Bark Wooden Trays

Lacquer ware coated plastic trays are perfect for tea serving, catering and food service presentation.

Kaba-Zaiku, cherry bark craftsmanship is wood work covered with the bark from wild mountain cherry trees and it originated in the Akita Prefecture in the 18th century. It is a complex technique where a thin layer of cherry bark is peeled off, cleaned and dried, and carefully bonded to various items such as tea caddies, trays, and boxes. Craftsmen limit the size and locations of bark taken from from each tree to keep from harming them.
